Dr. Sebastjan ŠLAJPAH

was born in 1988 in Novo mesto, Slovenia. He attended Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he obtained the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011. His B.Sc. thesis covered the control of four robots in a bimanual teleoperation architecture.  He received a Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana in 2015. In his Ph.D. thesis  dr. Šlajpah proposed novel method for sensory fusion based on exteded Kalman filter with included kinematic model and active magnetic compensation.  Presented method was applied in wearable system for assessing  human movement during standing up.

For his B.Sc thesis dr. Šlajpah received faculty Prešeren award 2011 and Trimo Research Award  2012.

He is currently a researcher in the Laboratory of Robotics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. His research interests include wearable sensors, sensory fusion, human biomechanics, haptics, and robot control.
